We're looking for a technical sales specialist to join the OneQode team.

OneQode is on a mission to build the foundation for the next decade of connected experiences. We operate a low-latency telecommunications network and high-performance cloud platform, built from the ground up for the needs of global business.

Role

You'll be joining us at a time of high growth. You'll get your hands dirty, building a pipeline of leads and sales opportunities for our high-performance Infrastructure as a Service platform.

You'll interface daily with prospects, engineering and leadership teams to develop solutions for them using our infrastructure.

You'll be looking after:

  • Prospect identification and outreach

  • Sales development

  • Channel partnerships

You are:

  • Experienced in a cloud or IaaS environment

  • A proven operator with 2+ years of B2B sales — or an engineer moving into sales

  • Unbelievably talented in written communications

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and proactive

  • Effortless on calls and in-person

  • Someone who puts people at ease

  • Switched on, genuine, technically adept and jargon-free

  • A trustworthy consultant — you recommend the best for customers, even if it's not in your interest

  • Organized, productive and self-motivated working solo

You'll connect with business, technical and engineering leaders at organizations who have a need for low-latency, high performance digital infrastructure.

This includes but isn't limited to:

  • Financial services & quant trading

Bringing a rolodex with you is great, but the real test is whether you can bring in new prospects for the high-value deals our platform lends itself to.

You'll question the brief, understand their desired outcome, compile and present options, and close deals.

The product you'll be selling:

We operate a latency-optimized telecommunications network that's optimized for real-time services. With rackspace across three continents, high-performance hardware and own OpenStack-powered cloud platform, we control the entire stack to give customers maximum performance.

You'll develop custom solutions that involve one or more of our services, pricing and presenting them to customers, and taking them from initial call to contract signing and onboarding.

Your first week/month/year

  • First week

    • Attend an industry trade show alongside the CEO

    • Understand the business and our company language

    • Meet the CEO, CPO and engineering leads

    • Get to know the sales process

    • Begin prospect identification and outreach

  • First month

    • Get familiar with our existing customer-base

    • Book first prospect meetings

    • Meet prospects, understand challenges, and map solutions to challenges

    • Present first offer to new prospects

    • Begin identifying channel partners (particularly Systems Integrators)

  • First year

    • Finalize major deals, get new logos onboard

    • Develop existing accounts to move them up the value chain

    • Build a healthy commission pipeline for yourself

    • Sign on channel partners

    • Begin developing a high-power sales team around you

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Prospect research and identification

  • Outbound sales outreach / cold outreach

  • Generating new qualified opportunities

  • Meet prospects, understand their challenges, map solutions to challenges

  • Setting up meetings

  • Finalize deals and onboard customers

  • Identify and develop channel partnerships

  • Work with engineering to help customers achieve goals.
