OneQode Ramps Up Asia-Pacific AI Buildout with New Deployments in India and Thailand

OneQode is deploying new AI compute clusters in Chennai and Bangkok, marking a major regional expansion.

Singapore, 9 July 2026 — OneQode is deploying major AI compute capacity in Chennai, India, and Bangkok, Thailand, as the company scales to meet surging demand across Asia.

The two latest sites are part of a wider Asia-Pacific compute expansion, and they connect into a footprint OneQode has built over the last 7 years: 30+ datacentres on five continents, tied together by a carrier-grade network the company owns and runs itself. Further capacity will come online across Asia-Pacific through 2026 and 2027, alongside its upcoming 110 MW hydro-powered campus in Namsskogan, Norway.

While most AI clouds buy similar GPUs, few control the network underneath or have experience deploying extensively outside the US and Europe. OneQode owns and operates its own carrier-grade network, holds sovereign telecommunications licences across multiple jurisdictions, and has built from the ground up for near-instant, latency-optimized performance.

As the AI buildout shifts from the US to Asia, where capacity is scarce, that ownership lets OneQode place compute where demand is landing. Customers get performance they can count on in locations that are experiencing rapid growth.

“For the last few years the AI buildout was concentrated in the United States. That same demand is now arriving across Asia, and OneQode has the capacity to serve it,” said Matthew Shearing, Founder and CEO of OneQode. “We’ve spent almost a decade building the foundations, the sites and the operational experience to deploy in these markets. India and Thailand are just the first two places we’re deploying large AI clusters. We are open for business across the region, and we intend to move quickly.”

The clusters will run AI training and inference, enterprise AI, and sovereign AI for governments, financial services, and research institutions, anchored on AMD Instinct™ GPUs under the partnership OneQode and AMD announced in May 2026. Further Asia-Pacific capacity follows through 2026 and 2027. Where a customer’s off-take is contracted, OneQode will arrange power, space and delivery to match.

“India and Southeast Asia are where the next wave of demand is landing,” said Johnny Blackfield, President, EMEA and India at OneQode. “India in particular has land, power and talent at real scale, and very few operators are treating it seriously yet. We are entering early, and this is the beginning of a much larger commitment across the region.”
